Dr. Jeffrey Tsai
Dr. Tsai developed an interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery during dental school while conducting research on craniofacial bone development at the National Institutes of Health. He was drawn to the specialty’s breadth, which combines surgical care for facial trauma and pathology with outpatient procedures and sedation. His clinical interests include complex facial trauma and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, with a focus on providing specialized care for patients with complex surgical needs.
After completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Washington in 2019, Dr. Tsai practiced in Los Angeles and spent five years with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he treated veterans and taught dental students and residents. He later completed a fellowship in St. Louis focused on facial trauma and TMJ surgery, further developing his expertise in complex surgical care.
Dr. Tsai is committed to educating the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons and interested in expanding surgical treatment options for patients with TMJ disease and addressing the need for specialized care in the Los Angeles community.
